About Me

With an extensive background in hospitality and training, it's only natural that I like to make people feel welcome in my home, at my table and in my garden. I also like to explain and teach, which is one of the main reasons why I have created this blog for my ideas, thoughts and experiences.

After 15 years in the hotel industry, and 16 years as a professional corporate trainer, I've taken my show home to my family, garden and kitchen.

Today’s harvest! My tomatoes have slowed down aft

Today’s harvest! My tomatoes have slowed down after a very productive few weeks but many flowers and little Toms are on the way.
.
I finally have some jalapeños and poblanos with many many peppers coming in along with eggplants, which are slow and late but will be plentiful. Beans, of course, are picked everyday - time to blanch and freeze those guys for later.
.
Melons and squashes are also growing and will be plentiful! So nice to have a very productive season.
